In the worlds of mathematics and digital design, the straight line exists in its purest form. Yet in the natural world, no true straight line exists. The horizon, a spider’s web, falling rain, or even the path of light—while they may appear straight at first glance—contain subtle fluctuations and distortions upon closer inspection. Nevertheless, humans continue to pursue the straight line. As an ideal for building cities, designing objects, and establishing order, we have constructed a “perfect straight line” that does not exist in reality. This work is an attempt to explore the relationship between the ideals held by humans and the beauty inherent in nature.\u003cbr\u003eThe rounded forms, shaped from unique materials, symbolize nature. On the other hand, the aluminum cuboid symbolizes the order, precision, and straight lines created by humans. However, in this work, straight lines do not dominate nature; rather, they quietly blend into it. Nature does not conform to human ideals. Rather, it envelops even the concepts and order we have created, relativizing their existence.
