こちらの商品は、スタッキングした際に2脚でひとつの正六角形を形成するスツールです。
一脚のスツールとしての形だけでなく、複数脚を重ねた状態までをひとつのデザインとして考えています。2脚を組み合わせることで正六角形が現れ、そのまま上へ積み重ねていくことで、正六角形の形態を保ちながら垂直方向へ連続していきます。
六角形は、同じ形を隙間なく連続させることができる合理的な図形です。その幾何学的な性質をスタッキングの構造に取り入れることで、積み重ねるという行為そのものがひとつの幾何学的な形を生み出すよう設計しました。
使用時には独立したスツールとして、積み重ねることでひとつのオブジェクトとして。単体と集合、そのどちらにも異なる表情が生まれます。
シンプルな幾何学をもとに、機能と形態が重なり合うスツールです。
This product is a stool designed so that when stacked, two stools form a regular hexagon.
The design is conceived not only as a single stool but also as a unified concept that includes the state of multiple stools stacked together. Combining two stools creates a regular hexagon, and by continuing to stack them upward, the structure extends vertically while maintaining the hexagonal shape.
A hexagon is a rational geometric shape that allows identical forms to be arranged continuously without gaps. By incorporating this geometric property into the stacking structure, we designed the stool so that the act of stacking itself creates a single geometric form.
When in use, it functions as an independent stool; when stacked, it becomes a single object. Whether used individually or as a group, it takes on a distinct character in each configuration.
Based on simple geometry, this stool embodies the interplay of function and form.
